L’Observateur : French TV

We get 7.5 channels on our 15" TV. The 1/2 channel is Canal+, which shows a lot of soccer and basketball when it is scrambled. The other 1/2 is worthless as far as I can tell.

On La Roue de la Fortune the numbers on the wheel are digital, and the Vanna White of France is 1997 Playmate of the Year Victoria Silvstedt. She’s hotter than Vanna by a longshot.

The news seems preoccupied with items about gasoline and propane. It’s either about how much it costs, what can be done to cut costs, a tanker that tipped over, or a plant that has a leak. Last night they were concerned with how much gas gets used in the packaging of coffee.

French TV is littered with round table talk shows and reality shows like “Star Academy.”

There would be more of these, but I don’t watch a lot of television on the television. I mostly watch television on the internet, where people speak English.
